American Association of University Women Educational Foundation
International Fellowships are awarded for full-time study or research to women who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicant must have earned an academic degree equivalent to the U.S. bachelor's degree at the time of application.
American Heart Association
The American Heart Association spends its funds on research and educational programs that best benefit the general public. At the same time, it controls our costs for management and general and fund-raising purposes.
Council for International Exchange of Scholars
Individual Fulbright grants are available for scholars from selected countries to conduct research, lecture or pursue combined lecturing and research in the United States. Under the Visiting Fulbright Scholar Program, scholars apply in their home country for Fulbright awards.
Visit your country's Fulbright commission or the public affairs section of the U.S. embassy In 51 countries the Fulbright Program is administered by binational commissions or foundations. Applications for Fulbright awards are received by the commissions, and preliminary selections are made by the commission board, with final approval by the presidentially appointed J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board in the United States. In approximately 90 countries, the competition is run by the public affairs section of the U.S. embassy. In most countries, there is a very stiff competition for awards, and priorities may exist regarding disciplines, career level, type of activity, etc.
John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation
Guggenheim Fellowships are not scholarships, and they are not available to those who seek to complete their training either as undergraduate, graduate, or part-time students. They are also not intended for immediate postgraduate work.
Hawk Mountain International Internship Program
Each year, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary offers 12-14 competitive Conservation Science internships to applicants from around the globe.
International Research and Exchange Board
IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board) is an international nonprofit organization specializing in education, independent media, Internet development, and civil society programs in the United States, Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and North Africa, and Asia. Since its founding in 1968, IREX has supported over 15,000 students, scholars, policymakers, business leaders, journalists, and other professionals.
P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund for Women
International Peace Scholarships are awarded annually to women who are citizens of countries other than the United States or Canada for graduate study in a degree from schools in the USA or Canada. The maximum amount for a full 12 months of study is $6,000.
SEG Foundation Scholarship Program
The Scholarship is awarded to students majoring in geophysics, who have an interest in and aptitude for physics, mathematics and geology.
South Asia Regional Fellowships
The South Asia Program provides support to college and university teachers, permanently residing and teaching in South Asia, to prepare an article of sufficient quality to be published in a major social science journal or to ready a monograph for publication by an academic press. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in the social sciences, humanities, or related fields.
United States Institute of Peace
Institute of Peace has two principal grantmaking components -- unsolicited and solicited programs. The Institute may provide grant support to nonprofit organizations and individuals-both U.S. and foreign-including the following: institutions of post-secondary, community, and secondary education; public and private education, training or research institutions, and libraries. Although the Institute can provide grant support to individuals, it prefers that an institutional affiliation be established.
Senior Fellowship and Peace Scholar Awards
The Jennings Randolph Program for International Peace awards Senior Fellowships to enable outstanding scholars, policymakers, journalists, and other professionals from around the world to conduct research at the U.S.
Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars
The Center awards approximately 20-25 residential fellowships annually to individuals with outstanding project proposals in a broad range of the social sciences and humanities on national and/or international issues. Topics should intersect with questions of public policy or provide the historical and/or cultural framework to illumine policy issues of contemporary importance.
Amelia Earhart Fellowship Program from Zonta International
The Amelia Earhart Fellowships were established in 1938 in honor of Amelia Earhart, famed pilot and Zontian. Since then, Zonta has awarded 1,087 Fellowships totaling over US$5 million to women representing 57 countries. As a result, doors have been opened for women to become astronauts, aerospace engineers, astronomers, heads of companies, geologists, business owners, even the Secretary of the US Air Force.
Young Women in Public Affairs Program from Zonta International
Zonta International recognizes the international need for increased participation of women in public affairs at all levels. The Young Women in Public Affairs Awards encourage young women to pursue careers in government, public policy and community organizations. The Young Women in Public Affairs Awards recognize pre-university and pre-college women students committed to leadership in public policy, government and volunteer organizations.
Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship Program from Zonta International
Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships are helping women pursuing undergraduate degrees in business management overcome gender barriers, from the classroom to the boardroom. Since 1998, Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships have been provided to 157 women representing 32 countries, enabling women to find their place in the business world.
